“It is important to children to learn about self identity in early ages so they can start to understand and appreciate our diverse society…. When young children get an understanding of self-identity, they not only posses an understanding, but also respect for one another.”
Monica Martinez, Kindergarten teacher
Workshop Overview: The Art About Me workshop, based on the book The Skin You Live In, helps teachers deal with complex topics such as diversity, prejudice, self-esteem, and acceptance.
