Register
How far in advance should I register my group?
Pre-registration is required for all visits, and you must register at least
30 days in advance to guarantee confirmation. Reservations are processed
in the order received.

Can I register by phone?
Yes, CCM now accepts phone registrations. Call 312.464.8249, and a CCM representative
will help you book your group. You will need to hold your reservation with a credit card.
We also offer several other
registration
options.

Will you charge my credit card if I choose to hold my reservation
with a credit card?
All reservations must be paid in full 14 days prior to the visit date, or
CCM will charge your credit card. If payment is received at least 14 days
in advance, as required, your card will not be charged.

How will I know that my group is confirmed?
You will receive a confirmation letter including tips on bringing your
group to the museum. If registering by phone, you will receive a confirmation
number over the phone and a written confirmation letter in the mail.
IMPORTANT: Without a confirmation letter you do not have a reservation. You must
bring this letter on the day of your visit or your entrance will be delayed.

What is your refund policy?
Refunds are given to groups that cancel at least 14 days prior to the scheduled visit. Refunds
will not be provided on the day of your visit for any absent students or chaperones.

What if I have already booked a bus and the dates I requested
for our visit are not available?
Please wait until you have received a confirmation letter before you book a bus. If a bus is not available for your
confirmed date, we will reschedule your visit for another available date.

What are the minimum and maximum numbers of students allowed
in each workshop?
•
For grades Pre-K through kindergarten, there is a minimum of
15 and a maximum of 20 students per workshop.
•
For grades 1-5, there is a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 35
students per workshop.

How long will my workshop last?
•
All workshops begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at 11:30 p.m. Most
workshops provide 45 minutes in the exhibit and 45 minutes in the workshop
area. Workshops that accommodate one group per day will take place entirely
in the exhibit.
•
You may add an additional 45 minutes—from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.—to
explore the rest of the museum after your workshop ends.
How many chaperones are needed for my trip?
•
One adult chaperone for every 5 children is required. Without
the required number of adults, your group will not be admitted.
•
Teachers are included in the required number of chaperones
and must remain with the group at all times.
•
Required chaperones are free. Extra adults will be charged
$4.50 per person if reserved before the visit date or $8.00 on the day
of the visit. There is a maximum of 10 adults per workshop.
•
Chaperones must be at least 16 years old.

If some of my students are absent on the day of the visit,
will I have to pay for them?
If we are contacted BEFORE 10:00 a.m. on the date of your visit,
we can change the total count on your reservation. However, if we are not
contacted by this deadline, you will be responsible for paying for all
pre-registered children and adults.

Does the museum have Spanish interpreters?
Yes, generally CCM can provide Spanish-speaking facilitators. Please indicate on your registration form if your class would prefer a Spanish-speaking facilitator. '

Does the museum accommodate children with disabilities?
Yes, we welcome all children to CCM programs. On the registration form, please describe your students' specific needs, or notify the CCM representative if registering by phone. Reasonable accommodations for people with
disabilities, including arrangements for additional free chaperones, can be made if necessary.

What happens if I'm late for a visit?
Due to scheduling considerations, we will be unable to extend
your time at the museum.

Does the museum have lunch facilities?
No, we do not have lunch facilities within the museum. Your options include bringing lunches to the Crystal Garden or other public spaces at the Navy Pier food court. If you bring lunches, a
museum staff member will collect them when you arrive for you to pick up upon departure.

Where can our bus park?
There is no bus parking at Navy Pier. Navy Pier security will direct you to one of the nearby free on-street parking areas. Call 312.595.PIER for specific directions.î
