General Programming

Every day, CCM presents innovative programs that make math, science, reading, the arts, and learning about different cultures fun for the whole family.

Kraft Free Family Night, on Thursday evenings, provides hands-on arts and literacy activities, no-cost health screenings, and authentic programs reflecting the city’s vibrant cultures. Passport to the World showcases the arts and traditions of Chicago’s Chinese, Irish, Nigerian, Native American, Greek, Puerto Rican, Persian, Mexican, Indian, Polish, and Korean communities. Theme-based Community Resource Fairs, developed with museum partners around the city, feature valuable local resources, performances, games, arts, and artifacts in a series of events throughout the year. Target Free First Mondays offers kids and caregivers lively learning opportunities, including Monday Book Parties, the first Monday of every month.
