Passport to the World, Community Resource Fairs, and hundreds of other events and activities bring playful learning opportunities to visitors every day of the year.

14th Annual Rube Goldberg Machine Contest
Students from Chicago area high schools vie to build the wackiest machine that can replace an incandescent light bulb with a more energy-efficient light-emitting design in 20 steps or MORE. Sponsored by Argonne National Laboratory.

ABC Adventures
Look for some w-i-l-d letters in Treehouse Trails! Use a net or a fishing pole to catch them. Explore the cave and C what you can find! Then head to the cabin to cook up some y-u-m-m-y alphabet soup.
