CCM offers innovative programs that make math, science, reading, the arts, and discovering the city’s vibrant cultures fun for the whole family. Passport to the World, Community Resource Fairs, and hundreds of other events and activities bring playful learning opportunities to visitors every day of the year.

Body Science Day
Find out more about the “Amazing You!” Explore some facts about your body, some of the functions that keep it ticking, as well as pointers to help you stay in tip-top shape.
Imaginary World
Who lives, works, builds and plays in your imaginary world? What are their stories? It’s all up to you when you when you let your daydreams be your guide.
Inspector Sturdy
Prepare for a visit from our playful “building inspector” who will provide “bracing” pep talks and test the sturdiness of your construction project.
Museum Night
Explore the traditions and history of different cultures through demonstrations, workshops, and activities facilitated by museums throughout the city.
Passport to the World: Native America
Explore Native American community culture in Chicago. Meet members from Chicago’s Ojibwa and Potawatomi tribes. Experience their music, arts, and traditions—and sample some fry bread while you’re at it!
Passport to the World: Puerto Rico
Nuestras Raíces (Our Roots)
Celebrate Puerto Rico's Taino, Spanish, and African roots, and explore its heritage and history through music, arts, and hands-on activities.
