What's going on at Navy Pier?

Navy Pier is getting ready to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2016 with the Centennial  Vision – an exciting renovation project that will reimagine the iconic Navy Pier into a bolder, greener and more contemporary urban space. Although Phase One of this project is underway, Chicago Children’s Museum is completely open and ready for play!

Is everything open?

Chicago Children's Museum is maintaining regular hours, and most restaurants and attractions on Navy Pier are observing the Pier's operating hours.  In fact, some days you can get a really excellent view of the construction equipment from our windows—and boy, do we all love watching construction equipment at work!

Your visit to Navy Pier will be minimally impacted by this renovation. In certain places throughout Navy Pier, convenient and easily navigated temporary walkways will bypass any affected work areas.

What about parking?

The East and West indoor parking garages located on Navy Pier, which can accommodate 1,500 vehicles, are open and easily accessible from Illinois Street and Lake Shore Drive. For a route map to the parking garages and traffic flow click here.
