Professional Development for Parents & Educators

professional developmentChicago Children's Museum workshops are innovative and research-based, with a good dose of hands-on fun! Participants gain creative and practical strategies to use immediately in classrooms, centers, and homes. Educators earn CPDUs or CDA hours.

We also offer workshops for parents and caregivers—perfect for your next parent or community meeting! Choose one of our existing workshops, or collaborate with our education team to develop a custom workshop (or a whole series) that's just right for your group. Our educators are eager to tailor a professional development experience that best suits your group's needs and interests! From one-day workshops to year-long programs, we've worked with classroom-, home-, and center-based educators, teaching assistants, and caregivers of all experience levels. Programs may focus on topics like child development, content-area learning, STEM learning, or maximizing your experience in informal learning environments, like museums!
