Artabounds Gallery
Witness wondrous works of art by children and families from
Chicago–and beyond! The
Artabounds
Gallery is
a showcase for collaborative family art created in CCM's own
art studio and offers an intimate walk-through space that delights
and inspires an
early appreciation for art.
Now open,
Between Us: Making Art Together showcases the spirit
of collaboration in an exhibit built entirely by the children
and families in CCM's sculpture workshops. Under
the guidance of professional artists, such as ceramist Tom Lauerman,
sculptor Renee Williams Jefferson, and printmaker Jon Stein,
visitors fabricated
nine-foot-high mixed-media panels, a giant mobile, clay “face” tiles,
silk-screened windows, and more for this one-of-a-kind exhibition.
