FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CCM invites children to explore their curiosity on September 29

CHICAGO- September 17, 2007– Explore your curiosity when Curious George: Let’s Get Curious arrives at Chicago Children’s Museum on September 29. This exhibit will lead young visitors on a fun, interactive science, math and engineering-based adventure.

The exhibit, which was designed, developed and built by Minnesota Children’s Museum in partnership with Universal Studios Consumer Products Group, is based on the familiar characters in H.A. and Margret Rey’s classic stories and the television series now on PBS KIDS® (check local listings). The immersive exhibit environment takes place where Curious George and The Man with the Yellow Hat live. Insatiably curious, George lives to find new things to discover, touch, spill and chew. In the exhibit, families learn like George – through direct experiences and problem solving.

“So many generations have grown up with the memorable and lovable Curious George,” said Peter England, President and CEO of Chicago Children's Museum. “What a fantastic way to reach children and introduce them to such valuable educational principles like science, math and engineering.”

Welcome to Curious George’s hometown! Visit Curious George and The Man with the Yellow Hat at the Apartment Building, and climb down the building’s fire escape! Move Curious George from window to window using your mighty strength to turn the pulleys.

Enjoy the scenery at the City Park, and take a picture with a full-size Curious George. Mini Golf is a hole-in-one! Manipulate the three-hole course using pipes, ramps, funnels, turntables, bumpers, and force to put your science and engineering skills to the test. Lift-off into the Space Rocket! Snap a picture in the control station porthole and email it to a friend. Experience the power of wind and the fun of building at the Farm. Craft your own whirligig, and then watch it fly using a powerful blower. Don’t miss this opportunity to spark your curiosity with Curious George: Let’s Get Curious, open through January 6!

About the CURIOUS GEORGE television series
The Emmy®-nominated animated preschool television series, CURIOUS GEORGE, airs daily within the PBS KIDS hosted preschool block. Based on the literary classic, the series debuted in September 2006 as the number-one rated children's series on television among kids ages 2-5 years and moms. In the series, Curious George uses his insatiable curiosity as a way of acquainting preschoolers with key concepts in math, science, and engineering. George’s memorable (mis-)adventures—from dismantling clocks to rounding up errant bunnies—offer a perfect vehicle for motivating kids to expand their own investigations of the world. William H. Macy narrates.

CURIOUS GEORGE is a production of Imagine Entertainment, WGBH Boston, and Universal Studios Family Productions. Executive producers are Ron Howard (Imagine), Brian Grazer (Imagine), Ellen Cockrill (Universal), Carol Greenwald (WGBH), David Kirschner and Jon Shapiro. Funding for CURIOUS GEORGE is provided by public television viewers. Corporate funding is provided by Shea Homes. The CURIOUS GEORGE Web site is pbskids.org/curiousgeorge.
