CHICAGO, IL—Chicago Children's Museum and the Abbott Fund will host the CCM Annual Health Fair throughout the entire museum on Thursday, August 14. Free museum admission will be offered from 5 to 8 p.m. through Kraft Free Family Night. Children can get healthy, get fit and have fun while enjoying health and safety-related games, trivia and activities.
"Active, healthy lifestyles for children and families are something we strongly encourage at Chicago Children's Museum," said President and CEO Jennifer Farrington. "We partner with communities and organizations throughout the city of Chicago, and the CCM Annual Health Fair allows families to take advantage of free health services, while building awareness of the many resources available in their own communities."

The City Clerk's office will provide free IDs through Chicago's Kids Identification Systems (KIDS). Saint Joseph Hospital will offer hand-washing and back-pack safety demonstrations, with representatives on hand for All Kids Insurance registration. To complete an All Kids application, please bring the following items: a copy of your most recent pay stub, proof of any child or spousal support payment made within the last 30 days and copies of your children's alien registration numbers. Children and families can also take advantage of free lead screenings, dental exams, yoga demonstrations and more.

Additional organizations providing free health services and information include: Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago; Chicago Department of Public Health; Chicago Cares; Erie Family Dental Clinic of Humboldt Park; Diabetes Prevention Research Study; Early Intervention; Glenview Health Systems; Illinois Poison Center; Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation; Kids in Danger; LaRabida Children's Hospital; Lead Safe Chicago; Mental Health America of Illinois; PCC Community Wellness Center; Resurrection Health Care; Safer Pest Control Project; Virtual Pre-K; Women, Infants, and Children (WIC); Global Family Yoga; Consortium to Lower Obesity in Chicago's Children (CLOCC); Mayor Daley's Bicycle Ambassadors; Children's Memorial Hospital; Chicago Southside Autism Support Group; Autism Speaks.
