Self-Guided Student and Summer Visits
Self-Guided
FAQs
Register
A self-guided visit offers your group a chance to explore
the entire museum at their own pace. Because we have aligned
our exhibits with the Illinois Learning Standards, a self-guided
visit provides the
opportunity to explore curricular concepts in new and challenging
ways while meeting your classroom’s curriculum goals. Integrating
formal and informal educational experiences allows students
to make meaningful connections and discoveries that go beyond
the walls of the
museum and
classroom. For information on registering, see
FAQs.
Play With Your Science!
When you book a self-guided field trip, you will receive
Play With Your Science!,a guide to science-themed activities your group can do around the museum during
your visit. Look for the guide in your confirmation packet, and provide a copy
to each chaperone. Let the exploration begin!
Self-Guided Summer Visits (June 16, 2008-September 30, 2008)
Your group can explore, discover, and learn throughout the museum at your own
pace! After a brief orientation, you decide where to visit. For information on
registering, see
FAQs.
