Chicago Children's Museum
Visiting Chicago Children’s Museum is always fun… but coming to a private party after hours is even more fun! Hosted by CCM's Auxiliary Board, Family Snow Ball provides a rare opportunity for families to explore the museum after hours, while raising vital funds for the museum.
Over 600 guests joined us in January to enjoy a kid-friendly dinner, crafts and activities, play in the museum’s unique exhibits, and raise over $70,000! Proceeds from Family Snow Ball raise critical funds for the museum’s innovative exhibits, educationally-charged programming, mission-driven free field trips, and community inclusion initiatives—which welcome almost 140,000 people from underserved neighborhoods every year.
Guests enjoyed winter-themed crafts like Twilight Painting in the Art Studio and Winter Windows on floor 3, and created their own motorized artist with Doodlebots in Tinkering Lab. Throughout the night, Bizar Entertainment turned the Great Hall into a dance floor. Guests dined on a kid-friendly buffet dinner, and Bottles and Cans donated wine and beer served at event bars. The raffle gave guests a chance to win fantastic prizes from Cryobar, Lil’ Kickers, and Roscoe Books, among many others—plus all raffle tickets were entered into the Grand Prize drawing for a private art party at Chicago Children’s Museum!
Before the night was up, guests gathered in the Great Hall for a fun Snow Ball Toss and Snow Globe! Guests danced and cheered until the museum filled with snow, and then helped the snow monsters clean up.
