Halloween at the Museum

Looking for not-too-spooky (but always fun) things to do with your kids this Halloween season? Chicago Children’s Museum has you covered with Halloween activities that are engaging, fun, educational, and guaranteed not to terrify your little ones.  

  • Paint Your Face

    Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays: 11:15 am-12:15 pm 

    Transform your face with colorful, easy-to-apply (and wash-off) paint. Are you a cat or a silly pumpkin? You decide!

  • Frankentoys

    October 12-13, 19-20: 2:15-3:15 pm

    What creepy creation will you make?

    Tinkering Lab, ages 4 and up

  • Costuming

    All weekdays except Tuesdays. Workshop times vary; see our online calendar for details.

    Transform yourself into a creature of your own design using fabrics, buttons, and fun recycled materials.

  • Bling and Sing with the Kiki Queens

    Thursday, October 17: 5:30-7:30 pm

    How can you make “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” really sparkle? Pick a song, create some bling, and get up on stage and sing! Kiki Queens Ms. Nita and Ms. Venus will be on hand to take your performance and costume skills to the next level.
