Before you begin your online application, please ensure you have the following available:

1. Your confirmed availability for all of the dates of this year’s Playing with Numbers program:
Playing with Numbers Level 1:
  • Orientation: Thursday, November 1st, 2018 (5 – 7 PM)
  • Session 1: Saturday, November 17th, 2018 (9 AM – 12 PM)
  • Session 2: Saturday, December 15th, 2018 (9 AM – 12 PM)
  • Session 3: Saturday, January 26th, 2019 (9 AM – 12 PM)
  • Session 4: Saturday, February 23rd, 2019 (9 AM – 12 PM)
  • Session 5: Saturday, March 23rd, 2019 (9 AM – 12 PM)
  • Session 6: Saturday, April 27th, 2019 (9 AM – 12 PM)

4. Names of your colleagues who are applying for PWN as part of your team.
  • A Playing with Numbers team can be made up of 2, 3, or 4 kindergarten and/or first grade educators who teach at the same school. (EACH TEAM MEMBER MUST COMPLETE AN INDIVIDUAL ONLINE APPLICATION.)

  • Playing With Numbers Level 1 Essay Questions:
  1. PWN is a rigorous program, designed to improve teacher math instruction and student achievement through literature, child-centered workstations and reflection. Why do you think this program would be a good fit for you?
  2. If selected for PWN, you will actively participate in a school-based Professional Learning Community (PLC) with your teacher colleagues. What goals do you hope to achieve through this reflective practice for you, your teacher team, and your students?
