I AM WILD: A Charley Harper Exhibit
I AM WILD: A Charley Harper Exhibit explores the flora and fauna of six different habitats, including the Desert, Ocean, Rainforest, Sky, Woods and City. The exhibit invites children and families to discover the diversity and interdependency of life in the natural world, fostering an appreciation for its creatures.
Exhibit Features
Interactive Habitat Poster Kiosks – Multi-sensory interpretations of Harper’s iconic posters
representing each of the featured habitats.
The Woodland Ball Run – Play hide-and-seek with different animals and insects found in the
Woods.
Canopy Calliope – Create your own natural soundscape with a musical machine of different bird
calls.
Be Wild Imagination Habitat – Act like your favorite creatures or “be wild” in your own way in
our interpretation of Charley Harper’s habitats.
The Art Studio – Explore art making in Harper’s style of minimal realism
I AM WILD runs from January 17, 2026 through May 10, 2026.
One adult (18+) AND one child are required for museum entry.
This exhibition was developed by Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh in partnership with Charley Harper Art Studio.
