Celebrate winter with CCM!

During the winter break, Chicago Children’s Museum is expanding its hours and programs. Here is our schedule for Dec. 22 - Jan.4:

  • Monday, Dec. 22 & Tuesday, Dec. 23: 10 am - 5 pm

  • Wednesday, Dec. 24: 10 am - 2 pm

  • Christmas - CLOSED

  • Friday, Dec. 26 - Tuesday, Dec. 30: 10 am - 5 pm

  • Wednesday, Dec. 31: 10 am - 2 pm

  • New Year’s Day: Noon - 5 pm

  • Friday, Jan. 2 - Sat, Jan. 4: 10 am - 5 pm

Along with a rotating calendar of programs in the Art Studio, Great Hall, Pritzker Playspace, and Tinkering Lab, there will also be events in our Great Hall. Please visit program locations for session times and free passes.

Holiday Dough

All Ages
Join in our annual dough sculpture workshop. Shape anything from pretend cookies to latkes, from dinosaurs to astronauts out of our handmade, scented play dough.

Let’s Take Care

In Let’s Take Care, children explore what it means to nurture and help through playful, hands-on experiences. They can care for baby dolls, cook and host a pretend tea party, tend to farm animals, harvest pumpkins in a mini patch, or hang laundry on the washing line. Each act of care helps children practice empathy, cooperation, and kindness, while having fun together with you!

Tinkering Lab
